I hope you all had a good year and are energized about the year ahead. In this issue, we’re highlighting some wins of 2024 and giving you a glimpse of the exciting enhancements coming your way to make Accuro work for you better than ever.

As we reflect on the past 12 months, I want to start by acknowledging the challenges you’ve faced as healthcare professionals. You face growing volume and complexity from your patients, creating expectations that we acknowledge are challenging to manage. Your dedication to providing exceptional care inspires us every day. All of us at QHR are deeply grateful for your continued trust in us as your healthcare technology partner.

This year, our efforts were guided by your feedback and a shared commitment to reducing the strain on your practice while enhancing efficiency and patient care. In 2024, we were thrilled to roll out features you’ve been asking for: Launching billing directly from encounter notes, form auto-recovery, text macros in Med Hx, and the ability to re-order medical history band items! We also recognize that there is always more to learn in Accuro and finding time for learning can be a challenge. To support you, we have built more bite-sized training material, offering new online courses, webinar recordings, and our Tech Tips email series. These resources aim to help you seamlessly integrate tools into your practice, saving you time and helping you know more, efficiently. Looking ahead to 2025, we’re excited to unveil a long awaited new look for Accuro; you’ll see this refresh of the Accuro user interface (UI) skin early next year. It is currently in final testing and will roll out to the first group of customers in January. The goal is to create improved readability, a cleaner, more modern look, and even a “zoom” feature. This is the first step towards further changes, which you will hear about later next year. It’s all about progression for us, inspired by your need for a clean, powerful, and efficient EMR. As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to shape the future of healthcare, we’re committed to helping you harness its potential without adding complexity or compromising security. At QHR, we view AI as a tool to empower healthcare providers by reducing administrative burdens and enhancing workflows. In 2024, we integrated with tools like Mika Ambient AI Scribe, which listens during appointments, transcribes conversations, and generates notes for your review. This technology allows you to focus on patient interactions while streamlining post-appointment documentation. We also enhanced automation capabilities for routine workflows and appointment follow-ups, enabling your clinic to operate more efficiently.  

Looking ahead, our AI ambitions are inspired by your needs. We’re planning to weave AI tools into many areas of Accuro, including:

• Documents Section for auto-selection of the date, provider, and notes field interpreted by AI scanning of the document.
• Clinical Notes for voice transcription and summarization (AI Scribe).
• EMR for intelligent chart summarization.
• Patient engagement for creating patient-facing visit summaries, perhaps using patient messaging.
• EMR actions like updating medical history, filling lab orders, entering billing codes, and tasks.

There is a lot of potential, and our primary principle when implementing AI integrations is to always leave you in control. These tools work for you and our goal is ensure user choice, preference in configuration, and flexibility of use. By integrating AI thoughtfully, we aim to give you back valuable time for what matters most: your patients.
