Adaptation is the key to surviving change and I’d like to congratulate those of you who have successfully adapted to this year’s challenges to continue supporting your patients. In this issue, we’re excited to share innovations and add-ons to AccuroEMR that will make adapting to today’s healthcare requirements easier and give you more tools for protecting your business and your patients.
I’ve spoken to many clinics that have taken really creative approaches to delivering patient care, in person, by phone, and online. As a small business, clinics are in a risky position; one physician unable to practice for 2 weeks or more is a big hit. So to protect your patients, you have to protect yourself. With kids back in school, social bubbles are once again expanding and that adds even more potential risk for clinics. So while many clinics are seeing patients in person, most are also offering patient visits remotely.
Our job, as your EMR provider, is to build the tools you need. Your job is to use them effectively. Together, if we both do this well, I know risk will be more predictable for you and your patients. We’ve been making important changes to both Accuro and Medeo, including integrated appointment booking in the Medeo app, integrated video, and improving the patient experience.
In the sections below, we’ll introduce you to Accuro Engage, which is essentially our bundled Medeo offering of messaging, online booking and notifications, and video visits, now accessible from within AccuroEMR. We will also introduce to you our very first Accuro companion app, ACCUROgo.
My prediction moving forward is that online visits combined with messaging will be expected from clinics by their patients. I know the telephone is easy, but adding video whenever possible is not only more engaging but also clinically safer. Enhancing this further by messaging a portion of your clinical note, like the plan, is emerging as a common and effective practice. We will continue to make investments in these areas to add adaptability in your practices with more ease of use, and more functions to not only maintain the reliability of the platform but to keep you caring for patients in these uncertain times.
Please enjoy the content the team has prepared for you, and all the best over the coming months.
